Louise Glass was born in 1957 in Akron, Ohio. She holds a Bachelors Degree from Oberlin College and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art.  Her paintings, sculpture and drawings have been exhibited in the Mid-west and New England at various institutions notably the Thorne-Sagendorph Museum, Keene State College, Keene, NH, the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, IL, the Detroit Focus Gallery, Detroit, MI and AVA Gallery and Art Center, Lebanon, NH. Her work in printmaking is represented in the following collections: Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY, Mint Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Charlotte, NC, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, VA, Cranbrook Academy of Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, MI, Akron Art Museum, Akron, OH, Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, Newport Harbor Art Museum, Newport Beach, CA, Detroit Institute of Art, Detroit, MI. She has taught drawing and painting for 20 years through various institutions such as AVA Gallery and Art Center, Lebanon, NH, Granite State College, Claremont, NH, and Vermont College of Norwich University, Montpelier, VT, as well as holding visiting positions at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH with duties as Acting Director of the Studio  Art Exhibition Program. She is a recent fellow of the Vermont Studio Center.
